The PEI government decided to take control of the material in the same manner as its southern neighbor, Nova Scotia. It will control all non-medical cannabis purchases, sales, and distribution through the PEI Liquor Control Commission. Prince Edward Island, unlike Nova Scotia, will only permit the sale of recreational marijuana through independent dispensaries and not through government “package” stores.

Where to get Weed in Prince Edward Island
The government has contracts with about a dozen suppliers. One consumer may purchase a maximum of 30 grams (1.06 ounces) of dried cannabis or its equivalent in fresh cannabis and cannabis oils. Edibles and other products were introduced in 2019.
